A Crocodile Was Spotted Using a Pool Noodle to Swim Across a Canal in Florida

Who doesn’t love swimming? Perhaps since I couldn’t swim, as a kid, I loved playing with a pool noodle in our family pool in the summer. Even to this day I still cannot swim, but I feel pretty ok with that considering what was recently spotted in Florida.

When local Victor Perez was busy in his back yard, he had spotted a crocodile using a bright yellow pool noodle, stretched across his underbelly passing through the canal in Key Largo. Luckily, Victor had managed to snap some rather entertaining pictures.

As Perez told the Miami Herald, “I’m on my balcony, and all of a sudden, I see this noodle and there’s a crocodile hanging off of it. It was just cruising along, and I was like, ‘OK, where’s the swimmer?’, ‘What happened to the guy with the noodle?’”

Even though no one knows how exactly the happy croc had laid its paws on the pool noodle, but he seems to be rather content drifting along without a care in the world.

Perez went on to add, “I don’t know how he got that thing, but he looked like just any typical Florida tourist!” While crocs are rather common sight in this area, spotting one with a pool toy is undeniably a first.

At an interview by FOX 13 Perez states that “We see crocs from time to time in our canal but never one on a noodle. He could have been from up north on vacation just chilling.”
